Copy 100 Times Sorry

This phrasing shows up because people search in the order they think. "Copy" comes first because the copying is the thing they are unsure about — they know what they want repeated, they just want to know how to get it out of the page.

So the useful part of this page is not the block, which is the same everywhere. It is the mechanics. The copy button uses the clipboard API, which needs a secure connection and a foreground tab. When either is missing, the page falls back to selecting the text for you so you can press Ctrl+C or long-press and copy.

The other thing worth knowing is that nothing gets added. Some sites in this space append a source line or a short promotion to the end of the block. That is invisible until the recipient scrolls to the bottom and sees an advert in the middle of your apology, which is not the impression you were going for.
